James 3:1-2a – Not many should become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgment, 2 for we all stumble in many ways. – HCSB
This has always been in my head, for I am far from a stumble-free person. Still, God called me to be a teacher of his Word, so that’s what I do. I taught Sunday School for more than twenty years, while getting degrees in English and Ministry, and serving as a Christian Education Intern and a Children and Youth Ministries Director, as well as in the lay ministry. When my autistic son’s needs were not being met within the appropriate programming, it was clear that my first ministry was to my own family, so I stopped teaching at church.
Now we worship at home, as a family, and I can still teach as I’ve been called to do.
Several years ago, I was prompted to do a study of the End of the Age. You can read what I blogged about back then on my website.
At this time, I’ll be posting my current thoughts and studies here, and if they edify anyone else, then that is a God-thing. 🙂
